Brief History
The Cordillera Career Development College came into an institution during one casual conversation among those friends taking about daring challenges. At first, the concept was considered a "foolish joke" considerint the financial statuds of each one. However, it was taken seriously after each member reflected that, with their educational background and experiences, each could play a major role in the management of one educational institution. Indeed, with nere guts and modest capital, the group has compiled with the requirements of teh Security and Exchange Comission-Baguio Branch to register the institution "Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC)" as a corporation on April 6, 1993 and incidentally making it the "first private" educational institution of the higher learning in the BIMAK Provinces.
The formal operation started during the summer term of 1993 in rented classroms of the Pelizloy Centrum at Km. 5, La Trinidad,Benguet with the initial short term courses offered.
In 1994, Cordillera Career Development College increased in population and also with the courses being offered. Added courses were Bachelor of Elementary Education, BS Commerce and BS Accountancy, Dental Hygiene, Police Science and Security, Master of Arts in Education, Master in Business Administration an Master in Public Administration.
In 1995, a total of 1,500 students enrolled . . .and still increasing. The college held its first graduation exercise in March 1992, featuring the graduates from Pre-school and from one year and two-year courses.
In 1996, Cordillera College moved to here new three-stroy building situated in a 3,530 sq.m. lot in Poblacion, Buyagan, La Trinidad, Province of Benguet, just 300 meters away from various regional offices of CAR. On this year, the college offred Bachelor of Science in COmputer Science, BS Criminology and Certificate of Hotel and Restaurant Management. The college held its second graduation exercise from the Pre-school, one year and two-year courses, and the first 11 graduates in various graduate school programs.
In 1997, the college held its third graduation exercises in April 1997 attended by the graduates in the Pre-school, first batch of 40 secondary school graduates, 160 graduates in the various one-year and two-year courses, first batch of 13 graduates in the AB program major in Tourism, and 31 graduates in the Master's Program.
In 1998, the college offered Commercial Arts/Architectural Draft and other many courses shall open soon. . .
Today the Cordillera Career Development College at present is one of the best school in the Cordillera and more than more than 3,000 students are enjoying the quality education . . . and we are expecting more students to be members of our "family".
